2020 and the Los Angeles Community outreach beginnings

We are a basic needs security net service that delivers. We have driven over 50,000 miles since the beginning of March 2020. When Covid19 hit minimum wage jobs were some of the hardest hit in particular in Los Angeles due to the entertainment industry shutting down. A lot of people throughout the African Diaspora communities were impacted by their jobs either being completely cut or hours greatly reduced. We have tracked our work through social media and LA Regional Food Bank log sheets. We have gone from serving 150 families a month(starting in March/April) to now serving 1200 families monthly. Since May 2020, we have partnered with LifeSteps another non-profit organization, to serve consistently 7 below federal poverty level income neighborhoods throughout South Los Angeles.
