On the morning of March 19, 2020, the smell of smoke was heavy in the air. Our beautiful green house had a fire that started on the 2nd floor and spread to the 3rd floor as well. We are extremely grateful that everyone got out safely and nobody was hurt. All of the families who lived in the green house are being temporarily housed in a motel right around the corner. We are waiting to hear how extensive the damage is and how rapidly the families can return. In the meantime, we turn to you, our faithful supporters, and ask for you to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This is an immediate appeal to help us in our time of need.

The Need: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unhoused and recently housed families are experiencing added stress and uncertainty as they navigate the demands of work, education, children, services, and more. Every day, families are asking for resources related to family fun and basic needs.
The Initiative: As part of Imagine LA’s response to COVID-19, we are leading a county-wide effort to ensure that each of the 6,000 families served by the Los Angeles Homeless Provider Alliance Family Service Providers Caucus, has the family fun and basic needs resources to thrive as a family during this time.
The Goal: To collect 6,000 Family Fun & Care Packages to distribute to unhoused and recently housed families.
