Connected to Organization --- not set --- Opportunity Title Description Your story might be exactly what students need to hear! PLUS ME Project’s mission is to build self-confidence and connection with youth through personal storytelling. We are currently recruiting volunteer storytellers for our annual Wisdom Week panels. We are looking for volunteers that want to give back to Los Angeles youth by sharing stories from their life and their wisdom on a volunteer panel. During the week of October 21st - 25th, PLUS ME will place volunteers in person in classrooms to inspire LA youth with their stories. Panel sessions are scheduled between 8:00am and 4:00pm PST and will take place at an LA based high school. Each volunteer will be able to indicate their availability and preference for that week. Before sharing with youth, this volunteer opportunity requires a one hour virtual onboarding, an hour and a half virtual or in person panel practice, and an hour of sharing in person with Los Angeles Youth. You will also need to prepare your stories/panel answers outside of trainings. This is a minimum five hour commitment. During the virtual onboarding session and a virtual panel practice you will learn more about PLUS ME, meet fellow volunteers, and receive guidance on building your story. Each new volunteer is also invited to fundraise for PLUS ME using tools provided by our team. All dollars raised help our organization facilitate this free program for youth. Thank you for considering sharing your story with LA youth. By clicking the link to learn more, you will be sent a registration form. Please register and choose an onboarding date.
