Fallen Fruit
In July of 2021, the curatorial staff at the Torrance Art Museum coordinated a monumental public art exhibition never before seen in the City of Torrance. ‘Ultra’ featured ‘Fallen Fruit’ , a grouping of fruit trees called ‘Lago Seco Fruit Trail’ at the Lago Seco Park. The Torrance Art Museum Advocates were proud to fund this project which thrives today as a testament to public art for all. The trees bear fruit which is available for any and all who stop by to pick and eat. Interestingly situated next to the ‘Community Garden’, a gated area open only to those with access. Fallen Fruit has permitted anyone and everyone to participate in the consumption of nature’s bounty.
