Volunteer at Our Youth Shelter and Family Shelters

Small groups and Life Groups from churches, synagogues and temples can help our families at Genesis House, Shepherd’s House and Casa de Vida and our young adults at The Landing. Here are a few ways that your group can help – sponsor a meal or host a BBQ, host a movie night or a game night, invite families and youth to one of your gatherings, provide homework assistance and tutoring to school aged children, provide an internship opportunity for a young adult, conduct a property improvement project, plant a garden, rehab an outdoor play area, etc.

How you help

It takes individuals and groups of All ages, backgrounds and faiths coming together to adequately address homelessness and poverty in the San Fernando Valley. We are honored to work with a vibrant, diverse, and engaged volunteer corps comprised of individuals, faith based groups, community groups, corporate groups, special needs groups, and student groups.

About us

The Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization in the San Fernando Valley committed to meeting the needs of the hungry, homeless and destitute. Based on biblical principles, we are actively engaged in feeding, sheltering, and restoring broken lives. We believe that everybody and everything deserves a second chance. As a faith-based compassion ministry, we focus on the spiritual, emotional, physical, relational, occupational and financial needs of our clients. Our two-pronged approach starts with crisis intervention then bridges clients, when they are ready, into long-term services that address chronic obstacles.
