Our mission	AbilityFirst™ provides a variety of programs designed to help people with disabilities achieve their personal best throughout their lives.

Opportunities	Other Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers are also essential to supporting our major and minor events. They assist with set up, tear down, check-in and other important duties. And, they help keep our facilities running smoothly by performing a variety of important office tasks. We have year-round volunteer opportunities at locations throughout Greater Los Angeles and summer time volunteer opportunities at beautiful Camp Paivika in the San Bernardino National Forest. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Office work, Event support, Indoor, Outdoor None, On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Adult Center In our adult centers we prepare individuals for the challenges of a new job, including giving and accepting feedback, adapting to workplace culture and environment, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Our participants earn a paycheck by working for our AbilityFirst packaging and fulfillment or shredding services business endeavors. Volunteers are always welcome to work with our adults to help the complete their assigned job tasks and just engage with them as they work. The hours at these centers are 9:00am-3:00pm Mon. to Fri. Anytime during that space of time is fine for volunteers to come. We can accommodate about 10 volunteers at a time. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor On-site Weekdays After School Program This program provides a variety of experiences to help children establish and build basic life, communication, social and healthy living skills. Volunteers assist with whatever activities are planned for the day. These can include preparing snacks for the other participants, a variety of games from outdoor basketball games to indoor board games and computer games, in addition to many other activities. If you are looking for an afternoon activity, 3:00pm-6:00pm Mon. to Fri. would be the best fit. We can accommodate up to about 10 volunteers at a time.
