Support Group LeaderBecome a support group leader and help provide much-needed emotional support, coping skills, education, and resources to caregivers. Support groups are located all throughout greater Los Angeles and are offered at a variety of times/days. Group leadership training and on-going support is provided.Memories in the Making FacilitatorParticipate in a structured training that guides you to becoming a facilitator of this popular program. Memories in the Making (MiM) is a unique fine arts program for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias that offers a creative and non-verbal way of communicating and capturing precious moments through art.Speaker's BureauSpeaker's Bureau staff and specially trained volunteers provide presentations on Alzheimer’s disease to audiences at senior centers, community organizations, clubs, congregations, schools, and more. Have a direct impact by delivering educational presentations to community groups ranging from 20-50 people. Topics include programs and services, understanding the disease, and caregiving. Training is provided. |
