Our mission	Angel Flight West arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs.

Opportunities	Certified Flight Instructor If you are a CFI, you can help us on the safety committee. Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+ Individuals Indoor Skilled Weekdays, Evenings Outreach Volunteer Help with outreach to hospitals and health care providers to get the word out about our free medical transportation services. Occasional, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor, Outdoor None, On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Earth Angel Driver Become an Earth Angel volunteer. With the help of volunteer drivers, we can eliminate transportation entirely as a barrier to health and hope for our patients. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to drive our passengers from their medical facility to the airport or vice-versa. Angel Flight mostly utilizes small, private airports, so pick-up and drop-off is easy. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor None Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Volunteer Pilot Use your general aviation skills to help people in need. To fly missions as a command pilot, we require that pilots meet certain minimum qualifications, the principal requirement being a minimum of 250 hours as PIC. If you’re building toward these requirements, you can join and participate in Angel Flight West as a mission assistant or in a number of other ways. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+ Individuals Indoor, Outdoor Skilled Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Wing Leadership Team Join a wing leadership team, which helps coordinate volunteers’ efforts in one of our fourteen regions, or wings. Wing teams help recruit pilots, coordinate outreach to hospitals, help with member events, and coordinate flights. We always have a need for help in the office for people having a variety of skills or interests. About us	A small child, ravaged by cancer, needs specialized lifesaving treatment at a hospital 300 miles away. A father, separated from his family by a hurricane, wants desperately to be reunited. A domestic-violence survivor longs to start a new life in another city, but cannot afford to leave. These are just a few of the people to whom we offer help and hope. For those whose lives are in turmoil, the financial, physical, and emotional burdens can make ordinary trips extraordinarily difficult. That’s when they turn to Angel Flight West. The beneficiaries of the flight – the passengers and their families, the healthcare organizations – pay nothing at all, ever.
