How you help At Aviva, a volunteer can have a direct influence on a young person’s life as well as the caregiver. From a one-time event to a long-term commitment, Aviva has various ways to volunteer and be involved that fit your schedule. Thank you in advance for your time, your energy, your commitment, and most of all for caring.
About us Aviva has flourished for over 100 years because of our ability to respond and evolve to meet the changing needs of the Los Angeles community. Hamburger Home remains our legal name, but today we do business as Aviva Family and Children’s Services to reflect our broad range of services from prevention, intervention to intensive treatment. Aviva now serves more than 6,500 children, youth and families each year. We help families and children (ages birth to 21), most of whom come from homes well below the federal poverty level.
