Our mission

The mission of the Hollywood Food Coalition is to feed and serve the immediate needs of the hungry every night of the year so they can build better lives.
Opportunities

Community Exchange Volunteer

Please Volunteer for the Food Exchange:
We are looking for volunteers to help at the Community Exchange at 1223 Vine St. near Fountain.

Help is needed Monday – Friday:
10am – 1pm
2pm – 4:30pm

Tasks include:

  1. Help sort and organize incoming and outgoing food
  2. Help sort and organize incoming and outgoing hygiene items
  3. Misc. other tasks

Details:

  1. Sort food into shareable boxes and bags (very meditative!)
  2. Frequent lifting anywhere from 5-50 pounds. This is a terrific substitute for those missing the gym since they are currently closed.

All volunteers must be at least 15 years old with adult.

About us

We have been serving those in need since 1987. We accomplish this through our consistent nightly Community Dinner, which feeds a hot, nutritious meal to the hungry and homeless 7 nights a week, 365 days a year, as we have done every night since 1987. We also help our clients access services such as housing navigation, medical services, and job placement, and we also provide additional basic needs such as clothing, shoes, backpacks, blankets, laundry tokens, sleeping bags, hygiene kits and more.
