About us
Dare to Care for the Homeless started as a church group at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in North Long Beach. Before its incorporation in 2009, it consisted of a group of about 80 youth leaders and 20 adults that took food to the homeless at skid row once a week. Skid row is in area in Downtown Los Angeles with a homeless population of approximately 10,000 people.
