Our mission

SCV Adventure Play Foundation believes that physical and mental space for self-directed play is an essential piece of a healthy and happy life, as well as access to nature, a supportive community, and a measure of the benefits of risk.
Opportunities

Event, Office, Playground Volunteer

Throughout the year we have various touchpoint where we need a few extra hands to help with the adventure playground or with an event. We also need help with a few low hanging fruit opportunities like stamping business cards, entering data in spreadsheets, organizing paperwork etc. We also hope to be holding a few special events where adults and kids will work together building base structures for play structures, garden boxes, “kid zone” barriers, signs, organizing bins and more.

About us

SCV Adventure Play Foundation believes that physical and mental space for self-directed play is an essential piece of a healthy and happy life, as well as access to nature, a supportive community, and a measure of the benefits of risk. We advocate for these beliefs by facilitating both permanent and temporary self-directed play spaces staffed by playworkers and equipped with open-ended play materials. In addition, we offer public outreach, consultations and educational workshops to support larger cultural acceptance of self-directed play.
