Our mission FoodCycle LA works to reduce the social and environmental impacts of food waste. Food waste is a major global contributor to food insecurity and air pollution. Fighting hunger with food recovery redirects vital resources to people in need and keeps food away from landfills.

How you help Volunteer Food Heroes are important because their work stretches the community dollar. Volunteers make it possible for members of the community to have access to healthy food.
About us FoodCycle connects surplus food to hungry people through our food recovery and diversion program. Our team recovers food that would otherwise be thrown away by grocery stores, restaurants, offices and farmers markets and deliver it to organizations who feed the hungry. We use innovative technology to help organizations find free healthy food to provide to their neighbors. The Chow Match App matches donors to volunteers who help us get hungry people fed in Los Angeles.
