Animal CareAssist in the daily cleaning of exhibits, preparing diets, feeding animals, observing animals, record keeping, providing enrichment and are responsible for keeping all animal areas clean and disinfected. Occasionally public speaking and animal handling is required. (Must be comfortable around turtles, tortoise, snakes and amphibians)Habitat Restoration VolunteerHelp us remove non-native plants, replace them with locally grown native plants, and pick up trash left at the Preserve.DocentHelp lead tours for preschoolers through high school students. (Training is held during the summer and fall.)Volunteer WriterProvide a short story (2-3- sentences) about your experience at the Nature Center & Preserve to be featured in our quarterly newsletter.Gift Shop VolunteerAssist in the gift shop. (Tuesday - Sunday)Outreach VolunteerHand out flyers and talk about the Nature Center and Preserve.ReceptionistGreet new visitors and answer basic questions. Answer the telephone and provide general assistance to the Nature Center Manager and staff.Clerical AssistantAssist with typing, data entry, preparing monthly calendars, duplicating, etc. under the direction of Nature Center staff. |
