Volunteer and FundraisingAll of the work that we do to support Short Avenue is volunteer-based. If you would like to help us out, select "I'm Interested" and send us a message. Annually, we fund teachers’ assistants, Spanish language, ballroom dancing for the 5th grade, buses for field trips and more. We organize fun social events like Dolphin Cafés, dances, movie nights, the Fall Festival, Silent Auction and the Spring Carnival. |

| About us | More than 30 years of research show that children do better when their parents and families are involved both at home and at school. Meaningful parental involvement is an integral part of student achievement in school. Children tend to achieve more regardless of ethnic or racial background, socioeconomic status, or parents’ education level. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. |
