To create musical experiences that strengthen our role as a leader among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and performing arts organizations, enrich our member-artists, support LGBT youth, challenge homophobia, and expose new communities to our message of equality.
GMCLA welcomes both singing and non-singing members. Our non-singing section is known as the Fifth Section. If you are not a singer, or cannot make the time commitment, consider volunteering. There is always a need for people to assist at rehearsals, concerts (usher, sell tickets and merchandise), special events, and in the administrative office.

About us
For over 40 years, the Chorus has built an international reputation for musical excellence while remaining deeply rooted in service to the Los Angeles community. GMCLA is more than just a Chorus; we are a family. Friends are made and Chorus-related activities – both social and performance – become part of one’s Chorus life. GMCLA has more than doubled in size to over 300 members, added professional and artistic staff, toured nationally and internationally, released fifteen CD’s, commissioned more than 300 new works and arrangements and appeared frequently on national television.
