Our mission	Our mission is to engage young people in the creative process in order to shape a society of creative, confident and collaborative individuals.

Opportunities	Administrative Support Administrative volunteers support Inner-City Arts’ behind-the-scenes needs! Opportunities of this type span from providing phone coverage for our Administrative Associate to assembling folders for Professional Development to providing data entry assistance for the volunteer program. Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals Office work, Indoor On-site Weekdays Professional Guidance Volunteer Professional guidance opportunities are available through Work of Art, a career and college exploration program for Inner-City Arts Institutes students. Each year, Work of Art offers it participants access to a variety of college and career preparedness seminars, which benefit from the support of volunteers in the creative economy. Volunteers can explain their careers at a career fair or host a student on a career shadow day. One-time, Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals, Corporate Teams Indoor None, Skilled Weekdays Studio Volunteers Studio volunteers work alongside teaching artists to support K-12 students as they explore their own creativity in one of our seven studios: Visual Arts, Ceramics, Creativity Lab, Media Arts, Drama, Dance, and Music. Studio volunteerism requires a once-per-week, two-hour commitment for the duration of a session: 3 – 10 weeks total, depending on the program. In order to be eligible for studio volunteerism, you must participate in a one-on-one interview and orientation. Additionally, all studio volunteers are required to sign a background check consent prior to serving in the studios with students. Weekly 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (10+) Indoor Formal Weekdays Special Events Each year, Inner-City Arts hosts a variety of fundraising and community outreach events in order to more deeply engage our constituents and sustain our programs. One-time 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor On-site Weekends Theater Assistance Rosenthal Theater volunteers are utilized for our on-campus community outreach productions such as The Big Orange Door series, Inner-City Arts Repertory Dance Company performances, Youth Performance Ensemble shows, and more. Theater volunteers support by assisting with event set-up, workshop facilitation, backstage support, and ushering. About us	Inner-City Arts, widely regarded as one of the nation’s most effective arts education providers, is an oasis of learning, achievement and creativity in the heart of Skid Row, and a vital partner in the work of creating a safer, healthier Los Angeles. During the school day, after school and on weekends, elementary, middle and high school students come to Inner-City Arts to work with professional teaching artists in well-equipped studios, receiving hands-on instruction in a range of subject areas within the visual, performing and media arts.
