Our mission

Bright Path Center is a nonprofit organization 501c3 that was created in 2005 to guide at-risk and homeless individuals on a successful path, inspiring them to make a meaningful difference in the world, through a variety of wellness and enhancement programs.

Bright Path Center is a nonprofit organization that provides support and services for low-income, homeless, at-risk & disabled individuals & families.

MISSION
To direct at-risk and homeless individuals and families on a successful path. We provide support and aid for those in need who are looking to successfully transition from homelessness to independent living.

IMPACT
By providing support and services for low-income, homeless, at-risk & disabled individuals and families, we ensure that they receive the help they need to succeed in obtaining safe, permanent housing.

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Every other Sunday, our Outreach team meets at one of our properties to prepare care packages of food, clothing & hygiene products to distribute to the homeless community & those in need.

REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for people who are passionate & committed to creating a positive change in the world & willing to assist us in serving the unhoused community.

Volunteer for Black Men's Wellness Day Event

Volunteers needed for the annual Black Men’s Wellness Day Event. Help save lives and close the health gap.

Why: Join the life-saving movement and make a difference in the lives of black men across the globe. Become a part of the Saving Black Men’s Lives by volunteering today.

Who: The mission of Bright Path Center is to direct at-risk individuals on a successful path and inspires them to make a meaningful difference in the world through a variety of wellness and enhancement programs.

What to Expect: 

  • We need volunteers willing to assist with; setting up, health screening stations, and checking in (vendors, teams, & individual participants who will be walking), and clean- up after the event, etc.
  • We are also in need of licensed medical professionals. Licensed medical professionals, will assist with taking vitals, checking blood sugar, etc. during health screenings.

Life Skills Instructor

Impact: Our goal is to support & empower our clients with the necessary life skills in order to live a healthy productive life. Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Working either in-person or remotely, you will instruct clients in workshops & training courses such as; Independent Living, Communication, Emotional Regulation/Intelligence, Post-Secondary Support, Employment Training Skills & Money Management, Enhancing the ongoing development towards a goals of independence, productivity & self- determination. Requirements: Assist with implementing lessons plans for life skills subjects. Assist clients by addressing cognitive remediation, social skills training & functional communication.

Grant Writer

Bright Path Center is seeking a skilled Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping us secure grants from a variety of sources, including private foundations, government agencies, and corporations. As a volunteer grant writer, you will work closely with our Funding team to identify funding opportunities, conduct research, and develop grant proposals that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.If you are a motivated and passionate individual with a desire to give back and make a positive impact in the community, we encourage you to apply for this exciting volunteer opportunity.

Photographers & Videographers Needed!

As a Photographer or Videographer for Bright Path Center, your role is to capture photos and record footage during events, outreach, clients at our facilities, as well as testimonials & stories. Items needed

Our outreach team serves about 150 individuals monthly. We provide care packages, food and others support services to those experiencing homelessness.  We are always looking for donations. Here are some items that we need most on a regular basis.

-Canned foods

-Twin size Blankets

-Socks, jackets, hats, shoes

-Cereals

-Granola/cereal bars

-hygiene items (deodorant, wipes, tissue, toothbrush/toothpaste)

Originally dedicated to early learning and youth development initiatives for children from socio-economically challenged neighborhoods in Riverside CA, Bright Path Center expanded its mission to provide outreach, facilitate educational opportunities, and navigate Individuals and families toward transitional or permanent housing for those living in Los Angeles and Riverside.
