How you help

Skilled and trained volunteers are deployed after the family completes an online form for emergency child care services. Volunteer child care providers will meet families at their home, at a disaster shelter, or where the crisis has occurred to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

About us

Every year, families across the United States find themselves facing ongoing or immediate natural disasters (droughts, tornadoes, hurricanes), or a human-made disaster (vehicle accident, home fire, school shooting). Regardless of the type or duration of the disaster, such unforeseen events create a crisis for families. Families affected by disaster are forced to cope with the immediate disaster, and its long-term effects, in addition to the typical daily stressors faced by all families. Our crisis intervention and disaster assistance is free for any family who is in need. Skilled and trained volunteers are dispatched immediately after the family calls the crisis line for emergency child care services.
