Our mission	Our mission is to enrich the lives of seniors, children and their families throughout our diverse community.

Opportunities	Food Distribution There are several ways you may be able to assist with food distribution to seniors: Assist with delivering meals throughout the San Fernando Valley to older adults staying #SaferAtHome. The Encino Farmers Market held on Sundays will be open 8am to 1pm. We have received proper approval from the City of Los Angeles to remain open as an essential source of fresh produce. We are now also operating a drive-thru food bank, distributing nonperishables and other food items such as fresh produce and bread. Items are placed in the trunk or back seat of seniors cars. One-time, Recurring Adults Individuals Other Weekdays, Weekends Thrift Corner Volunteers Thrift Corner volunteers help one day a week from 10am to 2pm by checking out customers and keeping the thrift corner neat and tidy. Weekly, Monthly Adults Individuals Indoor On-site, Formal Weekdays Share Your Talent Whether in music, dance, art or even science, our Senior Enrichment Center provides teaching and entertaining opportunities. Your interests can be turned into a discussion class or group. One-time, Occasional Teens, Adults Individuals Indoor Skilled Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Senior Home Visit Volunteer Provide services to homebound seniors such as meal delivery, grocery shopping, telephone reassurance and meaningful interaction, bringing warm food and warmer greetings to the elders of our community. Weekly, Monthly Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Families Indoor, Outdoor On-site, Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Farmers Market Volunteer Join us at the Farmers Market on Sundays as a volunteer from 7am to 1pm. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Families Outdoor On-site Weekends Adminsitration Volunteer Volunteers can assist the Administration department with filing, dissemination of materials and the planning of special events. The more help we receive, the more we can give back to the community. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Adults Individuals Office work, Indoor On-site Weekdays Program Assistant Work directly with staff and participants to provide quality services to the community through our intergenerational adult day care and child care programs. About us	Founded in 1978, ONEgeneration began as a modest and focused storefront senior center initiated, operated, and directed by visionary volunteers. ONEgeneration expanded and evolved to meet the continuum of our seniors’ needs at the dynamic Senior Enrichment Center, Adult Daycare/Adult Day Care Health Center, and in their own homes. A shift in our mission took place in 1994, when we added a child care program. This highlighted our commitment to intergenerational (adult daycare and childcare in a shared setting) services and programs that intertwine human needs for both giving and receiving in meaningful, daily contact. This philosophy has become our guiding value, as well as what is unique and most highly celebrated at ONEgeneration.
