Operation Project HOPE

Every year, OPH pours love into an Elementary School within LA County. The 2024 Day of Service we get to pour love into Dyer Street Elementary School. Our Projects usually consist of transforming Libraries into magical spaces that foster imagination, transforming Staff Rooms into Staff Lounges (with upgrades and love), focus on Higher Education, Landscaping (because plants and flowers give good energy and increase clean air), Painting inspiring Murals around the campus, as well as painting I AM statements (like I AM smart, I AM important, I AM loved). Studies show that positive affirmations support learning and build self-esteem. We believe our children are the future. All of our children. Join us in pouring into the children and Staff at Dyer Street Elementary.

We need willing individuals who aren’t afraid to get their hands (or clothes) dirty. Whether that is helping paint I AM statements, helping with murals, helping with landscaping, supporting in the Kids Zone (we encourage children to witness volunteering), moving furniture, painting walls, or distributing water. Come for a few hours or stay the whole day. Those who stay the whole day get the added bonus of lunch!

Pay it forward while expanding your portfolio. We also give college credit. This is an excellent opportunity for a graphic designer or social media content creator that is just starting out or is in need of expanding their portfolio. We will be beautifying an elementary school on May 14th, 2022. We are in need of 1-2 people who are self-starters, enthusiastic and have a good heart to work on helping us promote this project from now until the end of May. Skill needed:- You have created personal or professional social media postsWhat we are asking:- minimum 1 post per week from now until the event.- 1.5 week before the event daily posts.- for 1-2 week after event 4 posts.
