Tutoring and ESL

Volunteers are always needed to tutor individuals, kids, or small groups of clients in English conversational skills. We ask groups and individuals to partner with Pars Equality Center in helping us to address this crucial skill: facilitating the ability to maintain a basic exchange in English. Volunteers will be required to: Instruct in-office ESL classes; Assist in ESL classes; Take part in conversation groups for ESL students; Be available 4 hours a week during each 12 week session.

Computer Training Volunteer

We seek volunteers willing to provide tips and information to help our clients learn about working in the United States.

Employment Volunteer

Our clients need guidance in finding opportunities and advice on job trends, entry-level opportunities or internships, professional associations and referrals to contacts regarding jobs or informational interviews. The Employment volunteer will assist the Employment team with: Completing Job Applications; Conducting Interview prep and practice; Accompanying clients to job interviews; Working with refugee clients to navigate the job search process
