Ways to help

Care Kit Assembly Volunteer

Assemble “Care Kits” that include new travel sized hygiene items and non-perishable snacks. PATH street outreach teams will distribute the Care Kits to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and use them as a tool to build relationships.

Welcome Home Volunteer

We don’t just give a client a key to a new home, we strive to furnish it with the essentials they need to succeed. Organize your own “furniture drive” and help a client truly move in. You will forever be a part of this new chapter in their lives by welcoming them home!

Administrative Support

Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, phone calls, scheduling, and filing. Depending on the site you may: help PATH's career center guests by fielding questions and providing assistance in the computer lab, work the front desk and greet guests, or support PATH's Development department in hosting events.

Fundraising

Private funds you raise help us fill the service and operational gaps that grants do not cover. We’ve had people throw concerts, host birthday parties in honor of PATH, and even host lemonade stands. We can help you with ideas, and we love any creativity you bring to your event! Individuals also have the option to join fundraising committees, like for our annual Imaginary Feast.

Kitchen Support

PATH provides three hot meals a day at our interim sites, and we need your help to keep our kitchen facilities in tiptop shape. Depending on the site you can: prepare food alongside interim cooks, organize food donations with thanks to partners like Trader Joes, or help deliver food donations across a number of PATH locations.

PATH Cooks Volunteer

PATH Cooks provides home cooked meals to the residents living in PATH’s interim housing facilities. Plan a menu, buy the food, and prepare a “home-cooked” meal in the kitchen of one of our housing facilities with up to 6 of your family members, co-workers, or friends

How you help We are moving thousands of families, Veterans, and chronically homeless individuals into permanent housing each year. Support our neighbors experiencing homelessness by volunteering with PATH.
About us PATH envisions a world where every person has a home. We do this by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California. Across the state, we help people find permanent housing and provide case management, medical and mental healthcare, benefits advocacy, employment training, and other services to help them maintain their homes stably. Since 2013, we have connected more than 7,500 people to permanent homes.
