Our volunteers are truly what keeps our organization going! The support our volunteers provide for our staff members and animals is invaluable, and we're so grateful. If you're an animal lover interested in spending time helping pet families in need, we'd love to meet you!
About us
Michelson Found Animals is a Los Angeles nonprofit devoted to animal welfare, and we wouldn't be able to help animals without our amazing volunteers. We are an organization of avid animal lovers who focus our efforts on decreasing the number of homeless pets in shelters, keeping them at home with the families who love them. Better Neighbor Project hosts weekly pet pantries with free cat and dog food, as well as monthly Pet Wellness Days, which provide free vaccines, supplies, microchipping, hygiene and more.
Our friends at @MaddiesFund are doing a survey to gather information on shelter and rescue organizations across the United States. By completing this short survey, your program could win one of ten $500 grants!
Paving the way for pet care career training in Los Angeles, The Michelson Institute for Pet Professions is celebrating 100 students enrolled in the program in 2022, with most now working full-time as professional dog groomers.
