Our mission

We rescue dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters, and we fight to expose and reform the system that failed them.
Opportunities

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO SAVE MORE LIVES! (all positions!) 🖤🐾

Tofu’s Dream World is a small, entirely volunteer-run, foster-based dog rescue in Los Angeles. How many lives we can save depends entirely on how much support we have behind the scenes. Many of our positions are remote, so you don’t need to be local to make a difference.

Right now, our biggest needs (and what’s holding us back from helping more dogs):

🚨 Foster/Adoption Coordinator

🚨 Fundraising (donor outreach, grant writing, etc)

We can always use more support support with admin, legal, SEO, community outreach, dog walking, marketing and advertising.

And we will always, always need:

🐾 Foster homes: We can only save dogs when they have somewhere safe to go after the shelter. (Long term preferred, must be located in Southern CA, 21+)

🖤 Donations: Every dog in our care depends on these until they find a forever home. This helps with life-saving medical care, supplies, training, etc)

About us

Tofu’s Dream World is a 501(c)(3) foster-based dog rescue in Los Angeles, CA.

We save dogs at risk of euthanasia from high-kill shelters across Southern California, provide full medical care (vaccines, rehab, spay/neuter), and place them in vetted foster homes until a forever home is found.

But saving dogs one at a time isn’t enough. We fight just as hard for the reform California’s overwhelmed systems badly need. Much of our time is spent inside overcrowded shelters, documenting unsanitary kennel conditions and creating content of urgent dogs to help them get seen and saved.

We run awareness campaigns exposing what actually happens behind shelter doors, and we demand real transparency from the systems responsible. As long as state leaders keep looking away while animals suffer, we’ll be on the front lines, fighting loud.
