Ways to help |
Office VolunteerWe need your help at our headquarters! If you haven’t visited us before, you’re in for a treat. We’re located in scenic Coldwater Canyon Park, an LA City park on the ridgeline between Studio City and Beverly Hills. Our various departments always appreciate the support, and you’ll have the opportunity to work in a unique office environment--our yurts! Imagine going to work here at the park for a few hours followed by a nice walk on our trails to unwind!VolunteerVolunteering with TreePeople is fun and rewarding. Our events empower you with the support, training and tools you need to be an engine of change. Join us each week as we plant and care for trees, remove invasive species and maintain our beautiful park! TreePeople’s grassroots activities focus on serving under resourced communities lacking protection from heat and climate impacts, maintaining our 45-acre headquarters here in Coldwater Canyon Park along with restoring our local mountain forests.Urban Planting SupervisorTreePeople hosts events nearly every weekend and works with several thousand volunteers throughout the year. We are able to do this because of our core of committed Urban Planting Supervisors. Our Supervisors help at events by leading groups of volunteers to ensure trees are planted and cared for correctly and safely. Join the team and gain key leadership skills and technical knowledge. To be trained, you must attend at least two Urban Forestry events and be at least 16 years old.Photography VolunteerHelp us to capture and preserve the moments of community greening. As a TreePeople photographer, you will need to provide your own equipment and be able to shoot photos with at least a 300 dpi resolution. After your third event as a volunteer photographer you will receive a t-shirt and TreePeople name badge.Outreach VolunteerWe need people who love to share their passion about the environment in the company of others. As an Outreach Volunteer, you will attend social gatherings, festivals, concerts, street fairs and other community events as a TreePeople ambassador. Outreach Volunteers gain skills in public speaking and environmental education. |

About us | TreePeople is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Los Angeles area for over three decades. Simply put, our work is about helping nature heal our cities. We offer sustainable solutions to urban ecosystem problems, focusing on three areas: 1. Training and supporting communities to plant and care for trees 2. Educating school children and adults about the environment 3. Working with government agencies on critical water issues. TreePeople empowers people to come together to plant and care for trees, educates youth to stand up for the environment, and creates policies for a healthier, climate-ready, water-secure future. |
