How you help We are looking for a central location in the Inglewood or Los Angeles area that can house a wide range of activities, a kitchen, and at least 2-3 rooms that would function as classrooms, also girls and boys restrooms. Our goal is to engage the young men in a variety of ways as well as providing a safe space for them to receive any additional guidance. Ideally our goal is to base ourselves out of an old school or recreation building, as these types of locations typically have all the necessary facilities we’d require.
About us At Turning Point we will equip our youths with the tools they’ll need to succeed in a global society by providing them with the following: 1) Academic Awareness 2) Tutoring 3) Social Etiquette 4) Self-Respect 5) Behavioral Responsibility 6) Economics Awareness. Our overall objective is to teach these young men how to live a purpose filled life by being focused, independent, goal oriented and disciplined to become the leaders of tomorrow and to be model citizens for others to follow. We wish to end the cycle of fatherless children by teaching young men to be responsible providers, protectors and friends. These young men will also learn to build strong, long-lasting relationships with their parents and people of authority.
