Donating your time is just as valuable as donating your money. At the YWCA San Gabriel Valley, we depend on volunteers to provide services and assistance for a number of programs. Without their hard work, dedication and generosity of spirit, we wouldn’t be able to provide the high quality programs that we do.
About us
Founded in 1935, the YWCA San Gabriel Valley has been a long-standing multi-service community partner in the San Gabriel Valley region for over 84 years. We work at the individual and community levels to achieve our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, families and communities while promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA-SGV is an independent 501(c) (3) nonprofit and an affiliate of the YWCA USA and a member of the World YWCA movement. The YWCA SGV is committed to providing women, girls, seniors and their families with the information they need to manage the critical issues in their lives. Although, women continue to be our primary target, today, many of our services and programs are gender neutral and are open to all regardless of race, sex or gender identity. We achieve this through our multi-lingual community education, residential and service programs in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys.
