Making an 18th Birthday a little brighter!

18 is a birthday many of us will never forget. Today, one of kids at our shelter, had her big day.

She of course had much bigger plans in store than being stuck inside, unable to see friends or family. The staff on duty was determined to make her day special.

They spent time decorating her family’s dinner table with all things 18th birthday, as a surprise for her.

We are beyond grateful for our staff who not only continue to show up for these families during the pandemic, but also go out of their way to inspire them, love them, and continually show dignity and care.
