About this event

In the spirit of Building Back Better, please join this virtual Service Event on King Day where we will work as a group of volunteers to recruit tutors for public school students in Los Angeles.

We will meet on Zoom where you will learn about Step Up Tutoring, a program created to address the dire educational needs of Los Angeles students as they navigate remote learning. Step Up pairs California* based tutors with fourth, fifth, and sixth graders throughout and in conjunction with LAUSD.
Then we will crack open our address books and email or text friends and family we think would like to commit to two hours a week of tutoring through Step Up for a period of 10 weeks.

This should be an inspiring and fruitful event as we Build Back Better to give our beloved students the support they need. Let’s spread the word about Step Up Tutoring and long-term volunteer tutoring!
