Online Classes!

When schools across L.A. closed in March, GSF moved quickly to online learning. This Fall we’re reaching 2,700 students with our virtual lessons for a total of 159 instructional hours to date, and our teachers report that GSF classes are often the highlight of their students’ zoom-filled school day!
We also transformed our teaching gardens into production style farms to grow more fresh food to share with school families. We’ve held seven free on-campus Farmers Markets since September, sharing hundreds of pounds of fresh produce with our school communities and nearby Community Fridges. (Pictured here is our first Farmers Market at Jackson STEM Elementary!)
