Inspired Stars Council (ISC) is an events-based affinity group invested in the safety, education, personal and professional success of the students we serve as well as the fiscal and philanthropic efforts of After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles.

ABC Learn, Inc. regularly receives large shipments of books which we distribute to children at local community events. Before these books are able to go out, they must be labeled and counted. ABC Learn is looking for volunteers to help with these labeling projects all throughout the year.

Options volunteers have various backgrounds, professions and interests. Here are some of the ways you can serve the cause: become an Options Representative, be an ambassador, help with mailings, pack Hope Boxes, gardening, data entry, and more.

Assist with set-up, breakdown, directions, ticket sales, and other duties related to our special events. We accept both individual and group volunteers. Groups are encouraged to volunteer together.

A BIG part of AMIGOS ability to create green space in our communities is Volunteer groups! They bring their muscle to help us plant trees, shrubs, mulch and provide clean up to keep our parks looking their best!

Volunteers help with mulching, planting, weeding, cleaning up. Students! receive your community service credits – bring the appropriate paperwork and our Volunteer Stewardship Event Manager will sign it when the event is over.

We are always looking for positive people who love writing and sports who can give their time as statisticians, coaches, referees, or as a beat reporter for our social media pages and newsletters. To work with you volunteers must have a driver’s license, be fingerprinted, TV tests, and have two references.

This team organizes and coordinates The Giving Spirit’s educational initiative on homeless issues in Los Angeles. Volunteers assist in developing programming and the strategic direction of the new committee, act as event coordinators by organizing and managing programs at TGS events, and work with local schools and youth groups.

Coffee Sessions are the perfect options for adults who want to work with students, but have little time. Coffee Sessions are one-time, 1-on-1 informational interviews between Mentors and students. Sessions last for approximately 60 minutes, supervised by STOKED staff, and take place at a local coffee shop.
